If someone was charged with DV and the st. attorney dropped one charge, would the other two be dropped?
my boyfriend and i got into it, he had a knife and he cut me on my hand, there were no witnesses and the police were not called but i later went to the commissioner and took out charges against him and they issued a warrant based on my statement, he is in jail now and was being charged with first degree ault, second degree and telephone misuse, the states attorney dropped the first degree and is still pursuing the second degree and telephone misuse, i have since recanted my statement and informed the states attorney i don't want to pursue it. he is being held with 250,000 bail and they have moved the court date from june to march, what is the likelihood that they are doing this to drop the other two charges or can they go further even without my testimony?
