If you wear patterned hose/stockings under shorts, is that okay in the fashion world?

I don't know about where you live, but around here lots of girls are wearing tights and shorts so you wouldn't be the only one doing it. It's quite the fad. It' also been seen on fashion runways and it's been seen on several celebrities. And yes, it does fit in with the vintage/boho indie style.
