How to get a personal loan with 600 FICO?

Trying to get a $5000 personal loan to pay off doctors bills and past due bills. Anyone out there have any ideas? Both have full-time work, but not good credit history. Tried Prosper with little success. Need a fresh start, but having trouble finding someone to lend with confidence. Thanks for looking and answering, and please NO negative comments. (we know what we have done in the past, so that doesn't help)
