Is there anyway I can go from black hair to blond?

My hair has been black for three years, but my natural color is a very light, icy blond. Lately I've been letting my roots grow in, to about two inches. The problem is, my hair is extremely processed. Is there anyway I could strip my hair of the black dye without complete breakage?
