Earlier this year we had a consultant come in and tell us what we were doing wrong in our business....?
One of their recommendations was that we have a staff member available to see patients to help them with welfare applications every Saturday and Sunday. We never instituted the recommendation to have someone here on Sunday, but I'm the one stuck doing every Saturday. I might do one or two applications a day but mainly I surf the net, including Yahoo! Answers. Should we just drop this Saturday business? It's not like we can contact state or county offices on Saturday to expedite their applications--they're not open. And the company that recommended this change touts on its web site that it is family friendly and recommends family-friendly policies to the companies it works with. Every Saturday is not family friendly. And the extra 75 cents an hour for working weekends doesn't really enthuse me.
