Help! Went on a mini 2 weeks vacation to try to rekindle an past relationship and it went totally wrong?

We decided we're not compatiable and actually hate each other. I'm so alone and feel like totally giving up. I cant find anyone decent that's on my level or higher. I just want a nice guy who wants to grow and have a nice family. I want kids and know my clock is ticking due to I'm over 35. I just want to be happy in an relationship where my partner and I can be open about anything and trust isnt an issue. Any suggestions? I don't think my standards are too high and I don't go to clubs. Why am I having trouble finding a decent guy? I have a good job, own home and like the simple things in life. I'm soo depress! Help!
