Would it be rude of me to ask my neighbors to stop doing their home improvement project tonight?

Normally they should finish by 8 pm.. and then resume their work the next day.. Yes you can ask them in a friendly way.. that you understand they want to get their apartment nice.. but if they still hammer at 10 pm.. that is rude.. I would not tell them that it's rude but I would say.. that you have to be up at 6 AM and would like some undisturbed sleep.. if you go to bed at 10 pm then you get your 8 hrs of sleep.. it's the same with music.. they can turn it up more but at 10 pm it has to be at room noise level... so I would talk to them.. maybe they are so enthusiastic about what they are doing they don't know the time... xxx
